Stowehof Inn, Stowe, Vermont

AmyMike Main

The pure emotion of love seen in the eyes of Amy and Michael is what drew us to their story. This, obviously heartfelt, celebration was full of personal details that spoke of what the day meant to the couple. It is hard to not see the deep connection these two have. From the paper crane garlands to the childhood photos adorning the tables, the homemade decor brought everything together. Read on for Amy and Michael's love story...

Here comes the bride, not dressed in white...

…and it’s okay.

Wedding gowns come in such wonderful, subtle shades, from champagne, or gold, or blush, or even oatmeal, that look amazing on brides. Stark white can be difficult to wear, but soft, romantic tones look amazing on most brides.  Look at how dreamy these gowns are, and if looking is quite enough, stop by Fiori Bridal Boutique in Essex Junction to try them on!

Boheme Beautiful Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

When we first laid eyes on this fresh and fancy-free inspiration photo shoot, styled by Sarah Jo Willey of Creative Muse Floral Design, we fell in love with it's easy-going, soft floraly look. The Boho Chic style craze has seen a resurgance as of late, and with it's nature inspired, effortless feel, we can totally see why. Free spirited, like the majestic horses featured in this shoot, a Boho Chic wedding features lots of soft, flowing dresses, bold and vibrant flowers, whimsical details, and a relaxed vibe.

Big Tupper Ski Lodge is, according to their website, a "basic, no frills, affordable ski/snowboarding experience for individuals and families."  However, "basic" and "no frills" couldn't be FURTHER from the truth when it came to Bridget and Daniel's wedding day. They completely transformed the bare-bones lodge into a beautiful reception filled with lights hanging on tree branches, glowing lanterns, and simple rustic elegance. Almost everything was done by family members, friends, and other people who helped pull things together. The inspiration for the wedding came from Bridget's idea of "Burlap and Birch" but her mother (who recently started her own wedding event design business) is the true artist and knew that they could pull together a beautiful wedding that was on a budget.

Colors of the Season | Fall

Fall-Colors

Warm, cozy, crisp, vibrant - these are all words that describe Fall in Vermont. We gathered some of our favorite images from this season to inspire your Fall wedding planning!

Top-Left | How inviting are those brightly colored adirondack chairs overlooking the lake, at Basin Harbor Club? We could sit and gaze at the foliage all day long.

Top-Right | Deep red berries paired with pure white flower buds and wrapped in twine make a perfect Fall boutonniere, designed by Sarah's Weddings by Betty's Flower Basket.

Middle | Simple and elegant jewelry set in beautiful pewter adds just the right amount of shine to pair with a rich Fall color palette. From Danforth Pewter.

Bottom-Right | Instead of a traditional cake, add some home-spun charm to your reception with warm apple pie a la mode. This presentation brings it up a notch with an intense caramel drizzle. From Have Your Cake Catering.

Bottom-Left | Iconic red barn background with a wedding gown artfully hung in a tree with turning leaves. Could there be a more perfect Fall wedding image? Photo by Kim Martin Photography.
