Avery & Kensley | Real Vermont Wedding | The Ponds at Bolton Valley | Vermont Bride Magazine

Avery and Kensley initially met and started dating in Connecticut, but Kensley soon moved to Burlington and Vermont quickly became Avery’s home away from home as well. Vermont is where they fell in love and so they knew it was where they would say “I do.” Even before they became engaged they dreamed of the perfect Vermont Wedding. Avery even began collecting Vermont Bride magazines for inspiration.

All of their favorite memories of falling in love in Vermont was the inspiration for their theme. Their favorite season, summer, the picturesque green mountains, local gourmet food, and native Vermont flowers all played an important role. A cool, natural color palette of greens, gray, with pops of white and purple worked well with the rustic vibe of The Ponds interior. The strength of the tree, with its branches twisting together to form stronger limbs, has always been important to Avery and Kensley, so they used the idea of the Tree of Love throughout their wedding.

Sarah & Michael | Cape Cod

Sarah & Michael's Cape Cod Wedding | Real Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

Sarah & Michael’s wedding day brought together friends & family from all over the country. With Sarah having grown up in California, summering in the Cape, attending college in New York and then working in El Paso, TX, friends who knew each other only by name & stories for years finally met face to face. It was truly the celebration of two families coming together and everyone enjoyed the New England hospitality the Cape had to offer – clam chowder and all!

Tiffany & Kyle's Real Vermont Wedding | Fall Wedding in Stowe | Vermont Bride Magazine

Tiffany and Kyle's September wedding was the quintessential Veremont fall celebration. With stunning foliage and sunny, blue skies, the weather was the perfect setting for their "I dos". The day was filled with love and laughter, while surrounded by their closest friends a family. It was exactly as they imagined and wished it would be. Samantha & Dustin's Cape Cod Wedding | Purple Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

As a young girl, Samantha had a vision of a fairytale wedding, and after meeting Dustin at her families construction company eight years ago, her dream became a reality. Although her grandfather was not able to be there in person, he passed away in 2007, he was there in spirit through his Model A pickup truck which served as a fun photo prop. Samantha also wore his gold bracelet around her ankle as her "something borrowed".

Samantha truly tried to incorporate the personalty of her loved ones into her wedding day. Instead of a traditional corsage, her mother carried a gorgeous floral purse, and the ring bearer, who has a love of trucks, carried the rings in the bed of a toy dump truck. The entire evening was the perfect reflection of Samantha's vision from childhood. From the lovely purple details, an obvious favorite, to the never-ending dancing throughout the night, their celebration will be one they will never forget.

Real Wedding | Kelly & Tom

Kelly & Tom | Vermont National Country Club Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

Heavy rains threatened to make Tom and Kelly's wedding day a washout but luck was on their side. The sky opened and allowed them to take advantage of the beautiful grounds at the Vermont National Country Club. What would a wedding at the Vermont National Country Club be without a spin in a golf cart? There was even a picture-perfect sunset with gorgeous purple undertones to perfectly match the elegant purple and silver details of their celebration. We especially adore the embroidered set of ring pillows exclaiming, "His" and "Hers".

Inspiration | Meant To Bee

Honey Yellow and Purple Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

We can't get enough of this gorgeous inspiration photo shoot from Lis Photography and Sarah Jo Willey, owner of Creative Muse Floral Design, featuring deep, luxurious purples and rich, golden honey! It is one of our favorite features from the current Summer/Fall issue of Vermont Bride Magazine (get your copy here!), but there were so many amazing photos that we knew we needed to share a few more on the blog. There are so many eye-catching details; from the amazing floral arrangements by Creative Muse, to the oh-so-chic yellow fascinator with a black veil and purple flower. The color combinations are warm and rich - a perfect combination for a late summer or fall wedding.

Following with the "Bee" theme, they cleverly used a vintage bee hive poster and some local Vermont honey for favors. Pops of yellow brighten up the saturated purples and the tablescape looks like it was meant to be sitting amongst the fallen autumn leaves. The real show stopper, though, is the delicately lace adorned bridal gown from Fiori Bridal. In an antique white, it adds a breath of fresh air to the rest of the heavy color scheme. The vintage feel is lovely with the old-fashioned feeling fascinator and the added black velvet bolero kicks the wow factor up a notch.

We love the addition of the violin and the Vermont farmhouse backdrop - it really transports you to a different, and more romantic, time period. A beautifully artistic design that captures the victorian passion and romance. To view more from this feature, pick up the Summer/Fall 2015 issue of Vermont Bride!

The winter landscape in Vermont can start to look a little monochrome after a while, with snow-covered mountains, trees, and the pale gray, cloudy sky that typically dominates from December through March. To cut through the stark white, we love the idea of using deep, rich jewel tones to add warmth and sparkle to a winter season wedding. Dark purples, reds, studded with glittering gold, are the perfect foil to the ice and frost.

Dark chocolate whoopie pies are a perfect match for delicate gold calligraphy. Lots of shiny, vintage decorations give tabletops luxurious charm and interest. The sage and lime greenery pairs nicely with the more saturated garnet and plum colored flowers. Strings of cafe lights hang as a backdrop and give the entire area a warm glow that will last well into the evening.

The pure emotion of love seen in the eyes of Amy and Michael is what drew us to their story. This, obviously heartfelt, celebration was full of personal details that spoke of what the day meant to the couple. It is hard to not see the deep connection these two have. From the paper crane garlands to the childhood photos adorning the tables, the homemade decor brought everything together. Read on for Amy and Michael's love story...

Burke Mountain, Burke, Vermont

Eagan-Ruggles-4

The weather in Vermont is unpredictable and, especially in the late Spring, the chance of rain is always imminent. Despite the drizzle, or perhaps because of it, Erica and Andrew's Burke Mountain wedding was ethereal and romantic. Soft mist enveloped their ceremony and the dewy landscape came alive with life and new growth all around them. Quite the perfect reception for a new marriage! Here is what Erica had to say about the highlights of the day:

Burlington International Airport, Burlington, Vermont

BTV-Wedding-1

When the Burlington Internation Airport announced last year their plans to rent a space for weddings, at a decent price, Jamie and Germain knew they wanted to be the first to have their wedding there. Area vendors quickly jumped at the chance to assist the couple in remaking the, rather unusual, space into something romantic and magical. We think they did a great job at taking a non-traditional venue and creatively transforming it into a space any modern couple could get excited about. Here is what Jamie had to say about their unique, first-ever, BTV wedding:
