Spring Garden Wedding Inspiration | Gay Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

We are in love with the gorgeous and stunning colors in this greenhouse garden inspired wedding photo shoot from Jaclyn Schmitz Photography. With vibrant reds, oranges, pinks, and purples as a backdrop there is really no need for more decoration. Although some vintage Franciscan Ware dishes definitely add an elegant touch to the already ethereal surroundings. Spring and summer in Vermont features a plethora of lush flora and this is a perfect example of how to use Mother Nature to do your decorating for you!

The lovely brides features in this same-sex photo shoot are wearing different, but equally beautiful, gowns from Fiori Bridal Boutique. The intricate beadwork and lace details gives that mimic the floral surroundings. A lovely pairing of gowns that are similar but each a work of art in their own right. Their soft and romantic hair is also the perfect match for the sweet garden setting.

Katherine & Neil | Real Vermont Love Story | Basin Harbor Club | Vergennes Vermont | Vermont Bride Magazine

Katherine and Neil first met during a dinner in Beijing, as part of a study abroad program. At dinner with friends, Katherine poured Neil some tea in a gesture of customary manners, but Neil became convinced she was flirting with him. The rest is history. Neil’s original plan for proposing included a hike up Mount Mansfield, but Katherine persuaded him it was too far from Brooklyn for a weekend getaway. He scrambled for another plan, ending up on Breakneck Ridge near Beacon, New York. Katherine is from Vermont and her family has been visiting the Basin Harbor Club for almost 100 years. They loved the idea of choosing a location steeped in family history and somewhere they could plan an entire weekend together with their loved ones, swimming, playing games, and catching up.

To read more of Katherine and Neil's love story and see more photos of their wedding, make sure you check out the Summer/Fall issue of Vermont Bride Magazine, available at the end of May on this website and in newsstands throughout New England!

Amy & Andrew Woodstock Vermont Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine | Summer Fall Issue

We are so excited about our newest issue for Fall and Summer 2016 - it is at the printer as I type this! It is full of amazing real weddings from all over Vermont, as well as fun, whimiscal, colorful, and enchanting ideas and inspiration. I know we say this every time, but it is our best issue yet. We love to share even more pictures of our real wedding love story features right here on the blog. There is only so much room in the magazine pages and there are always loads of other beautiful pictures to share. So today we are giving you a sneak peak of the wedding of Amy and Andrew at The Woodstock Inn in Woodstock, Vermont.

Amy and Andrew grew up in the same small town but their paths had never crossed. It was fate that the two should meet, years later, at a bar in Boston and discover how close they had been yet what they had been missing. After Andy proposed, on a snowy winter day in a state park walking their dog Leroy, the couple decided that Vermont would be the perfect place to exchange their vows. The enchanting front gardens at The Woodstock Inn immediately spoke to the couple and the rest of the details fell together. A romantic Vermont theme full of greenery and flowers, with accents of white, champagne, and light coral were used to make things pop.

To see more photos from Amy and Andrew's wedding and to read their entire love story, be sure to pick up a copy of the Vermont Bride Summer/Fall 2016 issue, out in stores at the end of May!

Vintage Tea Party By The Lake | Romantic Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

When you think of classic, timeless wedding style you probably think of soft, romantic colors and textures. The pink of a budding rose, the delicate ivory of heirloom lace, opulant pearls and sparkling jewels. Those are the exact same ideas that inspired this gorgeous photo shoot from Ashley Largesse Photography. It is one of our favorite features from the Winter/Spring edition of Vermont Bride Magazine, but as with all of our features, we could not fit every amazing photo into the pages of our publication. So without further adieu - here are some of our other favorite images of the beautiful and elegant details from this truly inspiring design.

Fair Isle Fete

Fair Isle Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

"Fair Isle" refers to both a style of knitting, but also a tiny island off the northern coast of Scotland. Noted for its charming graphic patterns and colors, Fair Isle is a cozy accent that is equally at home in the wintery lodge or a country garden. The lush mountains of Vermont are the perfect place for recreating the rugged, hilly landscape of the northern British Isles. Add in some fairy-inspired flower crowns, rustic wooden bowls, a soft cable-knit sweater or scarf, and you have the ingredients for a timeless, old-world celebration.

For more gorgeous photos of this feature, check out the Winter/Spring 2016 print edition, availabe for purchase now!

Bright and Colorful Arizona Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

We love the bright and vibrant colors of Monique and Tommy's wedding celebration. Their love and admiration for each other truly shines through in every heartfelt detail. It is hard to believe that the entire wedding was orchestarted by just Monique and her amazing friends and family. Monique obviously put a lot of thought into every detail, from the unique wishing stones guests signed, to the fun game table just for the kids! With such happy, cheerful spirit, it is impossible to not smile when looking at their wedding album.

Something-blue-3

The old saying, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue", still has a lot of meaning to modern-day brides. Fun and meaningful traditions such as these are at the heart of wedding history and give ample room for injecting your own personal spin on things. The color blue is a classic in wedding design and easily coordinates with a myriad of other colors. From elegent to bohemian, the options are endless when starting with blue as your foundation.
