How and where did you meet? We met at a restaurant. Andy was bartending and I went in to meet a friend for a drink. And as they say – the rest is history.
What was the proposal like? The proposal was perfect! I got home from work, threw on my PJ’s and was catching up on some DVR. Andy said he had to work a little late that night, so he came home, came right over to me on the couch and got down on his knee. It was a Monday night so it caught me off guard. We spent the rest of the night drinking champagne and calling our family & friends to share the news.
Why did you choose Vermont for your wedding? Andy grew up in the NEK and we decided it would be the perfect back drop for our late spring wedding. It gave our friends and my family a chance to see where Andy was from.
How did you choose your venue? Andy grew up skiing at Burke so we decided to check it out and we thought it was a hidden gem.
What was your theme/color palette? We went with gray and purple with yellow accents. We didn’t really have a “theme” but we tried to pull in different personal touches.What was your favorite detail from your wedding? Our personal vows.
How did your wedding reflect your relationship as a couple? Our wedding was somewhat laid back and really fun. I think the dance floor was packed all night long. Our friends and family know how to have a good time!
What were some of your favorite moments? Even though I wasn’t terribly happy about it at the time, the rain during the ceremony is something we’ll never forget!
What was the song you had your first dance to? Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat
How did your vendors help make your wedding day perfect? Our vendors were the best! Everyone worked to make sure that we had the best day (despite the weather) and that we got exactly what we wanted.
What advice would you give other couples planning their wedding? Relax and enjoy every moment. Enjoy all the planning and the day of. It goes by so quickly
