Loft Wedding Inspiration

Loft Wedding Inspiration | Modern Urban Weddings | Vermont Bride Magazine

With a laid-back, urban vibe and industrial feel, hosting your wedding in a loft style space can be the perfect way to acheive a modern, casual-chic theme. The bare bones architectural details of a loft are the perfect blank canvas for you to style and decorate in a million different ways. From a minimilist, all white pallette, to more intricate installations of flowering vines and hundreds of candles - it is open to your interpretation and inspiration.

In the Summer 2015 Lookbook, we feature a light and airy styled photo shoot showcasing bright yellows, vibrant greens, and a concrete block centerpiece. Fun vintage furniture is placed for lounging and drinking, and the bright white accents shower the space with light and warmth. But this is certainly not the only direction you can take for loft decor. We gathered together some of our favorite inspiration from all over to show a few other options in loft wedding style.

The top photo shows just how simple and minimilst a set up in a loft can be. Empty pallets stacked nearby make the perfect perch for candles and other items, while a simple lighted heart gives the whole setting a more "wedding" vibe without going overboard.

The next two photos are a bit more romantic and feminine. We love the whimsical paper cones lining the wall, paired with clear lucite chairs and brass accents to give it some panache. And the rustic metal letters spelling "Love" look like they have been there for decades, with delicate ivy weaving in and out and subtle pops of color from the red blooms.

The fabric covered squares in the bottom pic show a more bohemian styled loft, complete with chunky afghan throws and mismatched patterns. There can never be too many pillows and comfy cushions when designing a chill, urban space.

A sparkly chandelier can be a showstopping statement piece when hung in an industrial space. It is a welcome contrast to the more stark and rugged brick wall and exposed piping. It also softens the room a bit, similar to the gold grames and oversized blooms in the next image. The wood cutouts, "Mr. & Mrs" in a feminine script font further the romantic ambiance.

Dramatic drapery hung from the ceiling really does alot to transform the worn and aged loft in the bottom photo. Scattered flower petals and a bright green garland give it some life and vibrancy - a good analogy of the new beginnings symbolized in marriage. Lofts tend to be darker since they are so large the light from any windows can not penetrat the center of the room. Multiple light sources are the way to go, like the pairing of candles and string lights in the last pic.

Whatever your style is, a loft space can also be a budget saving option. If you are willing to put in a little elbow grease and have the creativity to envision what a space could become, lofts can truly transform into amazing, gorgeous venues.
