Sheefra

Sheefra Celtic Music

We play traditional Celtic music -- the old bardic "by ear and by heart" repertoire from Ireland, Scotland, Wales & Cape Breton. Leanne plays Celtic harp-- a warm-toned 36 string Dusty Strings-- and Tim plays a Wheatstone concertina, which is a reed instrument about the size of a cantelope, made of ebony and black leather, that was invented in the 1800s for chamber music. Our music is fine as a duo, and when our friend Berta Frank joins us on silver flute and pennywhistle, she adds rich harmonies and textures.

On your special day -- we would take delight in helping to make it beautiful and harmonious.

Here are some wonderful samples of Sheefra’s playing...

Give Me Your Hand (Irish Traditional)
The Old White Cockade (Irish Traditional)
Carolan's Welcome (O'Carolan compostion)

Skye Tune/Lady Athenry (Scottish Traditional / O'Carolan)
